A BRAND NEW AUTHOR WITH A LOT TO SAY

On a chilly day in February 2024, I sat in front of my laptop and decided to spin a story. As a career designer and exhibiting fine artist, I decided to travel down another creative path. Something that had been a pipe dream since I was in the 7th grade. To be, in the iconic lyrics of McCartney and Lennon, a paperback writer.

I have always had an extraordinary love of the written word from the time I started reading at an early age. I vividly remember the treasure trove of books my parents had stored in the garage. There I would sit on many a summer's day, surrounded by the smells of dust and motor oil, reading for hours. Books opened up worlds to me that were more engaging than the reality around me, feeding my fertile imagination.
Fast forward many years (we won't say exactly how many) to that chilly day in February. As with my fine art journey, I will only say I felt compelled to sit before my laptop as imagination percolated a steamy hot brew. The first words poured out almost faster than my fingertips could keep up to type them, and the stories took shape. That day my first anthology of short stories, Of Sinners, Saints, Poetry and Perfidy, was born.
My second novel, The Extraordinary Misses of an Ordinary Life followed on its heels a short year later.
As with my artistic journey, I harbor little expectation other than to share my brainchildren with others. I simply enjoy being creative and being blessed by the greatest Creator of all.
